Taught in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines.

I offer the initial BLS course & renewal course. The AHA BLS Student Manual (2015 version) is NOT included, but is required. Instructors are no longer allowed per AHA policy to lend books for the class. You can purchase a new manual at AHA's website (eBook now offered) or purchase a used manual on your own. Manuals may also be purchased in the shop on this site. They will be provided to you at the beginning of class and will be yours to keep. If you show up to class without the 2015 version of the manual you will have to purchase one from me or attend another class. Rescheduling fees will apply.

Class size from 1 to a maximum of 6 students.

If you pre-registered for a class on this site, you will receive your certification card same day after successful completion of the written and skills test.

This course is also offered in a blended course format. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online (at their own pace at home for approx. 2hrs), followed by a hands-on session (with me for approx 30min -1hr). You will need to complete the online portion "BLS HeartCode" on the AHA website (the manual is included as an eBook in the total cost of the online portion). You must print out your certificate of completion from the online course and bring it to class prior to the hands on skills session. If you purchase the "express blended course" you will be emailed the keycode needed to complete the online section of the course. If you have already purchased a keycode elsewhere and just need to purchase the in person skills check, please be sure to select "hands on skills only" when making the purchase.
